This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit swift-code.dev, write to us or work with us, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We follow the Albanian Law No. 124/2024 on Personal Data Protection and, for clients and visitors in the European Union, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who we are
This website is run by Swift Code, a company owned by Almen Grami, Rruga Isuf Sokoli, Shkodër, Albania. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
For any privacy question, write to support@swift-code.dev.
What we collect and why
1. When you visit this website
Our web server automatically records technical data for every request: your IP address, the date and time, the page you opened, your browser and device type, and the page you came from.
- Why: to deliver the website, keep it secure and detect attacks or misuse.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe and working website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- How long: 7 days, then deleted automatically. If a log shows a specific attack, we may keep the related entries until the incident is resolved.
2. When you write to us
If you email us, we receive your name, email address, company name if you give it, and anything you write in your message.
- Why: to answer you and, if you ask, to prepare a plan and a quote.
- Legal basis: steps you ask us to take before a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
- How long: if no project follows, we delete your messages within 12 months of our last contact.
3. When you become a client
We keep the contact and billing details of the people we work with, our contracts, invoices and project communication.
- Why: to deliver the project, support you and meet our tax and accounting duties.
- Legal basis: performing our contract with you (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and our legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).
- How long: for the duration of our work together. After that, invoices and accounting records are kept for as long as Albanian tax and accounting law requires, and other project data is deleted when it is no longer needed.
What we do not do
- We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website.
- Our fonts and files are hosted on our own server, so your visit is not shared with outside services such as Google Fonts.
- We do not sell or rent your personal data.
- We do not make automated decisions or create profiles about you.
Where your data is stored and who we share it with
We only share personal data with service providers who help us run our business. They may use it only to provide their service to us, under a data processing agreement as required by Article 28 GDPR.
- Hosting: Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. This website and the apps we host for clients run on Hetzner servers in their data centers in Nuremberg and Falkenstein, Germany. We choose the location closest to each project.
- Email: Zoho, which hosts our mailbox support@swift-code.dev in its EU data centers.
Your data stays within the European Union. If we ever need a provider outside the EU, we will only use one that offers the safeguards required by law, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, and we will update this policy.
Apps we build and host for clients
When we build or host an app for a client, the personal data of that app's users belongs to our client. Our client is the data controller, and we act as a data processor on their behalf, under a separate data processing agreement. We only process that data on our client's instructions, keep server logs only for as long as needed to run and secure the app, and delete or return the data when our work ends, as agreed in that contract. If you are a user of one of these apps, please contact the company that runs it.
How we protect your data
We use encrypted connections, hardened servers, restricted access and regular updates. Only the people who need personal data to do their work can access it.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your data
- ask us to limit how we use your data
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest
- receive your data in a common, machine-readable format
To use any of these rights, email support@swift-code.dev. We answer within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Complaints
If you think we handle your data wrongly, please tell us first so we can fix it. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority:
- in Albania: the Commissioner for the Right to Information and Personal Data Protection (idp.al)
- in the EU: the data protection authority of the country where you live or work
Children
Our services are meant for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
